No Ordinary Man~An Easter Poem

No Ordinary Man

Two crosses stood

on a lonely hill,

with a void between...

only HE could fill.

And so HE came

tho HE stumbled and fell,

as HE carried HIS own cross...

up Calvary's hill.

Like a bridge HE stood

o're the chasm wide,

pressed between evil...

with sin on both sides.

Tho one thief was cursing,

the other one cried,

"This man's done no wrong...

why must HE die?"

With love on HIS lips

and tears in HIS eyes,

This KING of the Jews...

suffered and died.

The elements revolted!

dark were the skies,

fear gripped the hearts...

loud were the cries!

To the depths HE descended

'twas a desolate land,

HE preached to the captives...

according to plan.

And then HE ascended

the keys in HIS hand,

To death and to hell...

NO ORDINARY MAN!

patti page white

I am HE that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Revelation 1:18
